The pose is a little awkward, but I think that might actually work with the theme of the picture. The girlish figure of the model and the way she holds the bear are symbols of innocence, perhaps innocence questioned and challenged. The title certainly fits with this concept. The train tracks seem to be a place of division, of crisis, and, since the model is alone, introspection. The awkward, almost stumbling appearance of the pose shows difficulty, perhaps uncertainty. The combination between imagery of innocence, inner crisis, and uncertainty makes this a powerful and poignant image. Leaving out the model's face makes it up to the viewer to imagine what her expression may be like, prompting personal reflection and intepretation.
